I bookmarked the "Gear" list, it pretty much matched my personal list.
I'm assuming you guys broke down the Commander center everyday before hitting the trails? I'm going to have to rummage through my dads place and find all the camping gear, I know we have canopy tents and tarps.
Chapman89, I'm thinking of going to Uwharrie not this saturday but the next I think its the 23rd or something like that.
No we didn't take down the canopy's we just left them up. I don't see a reason to tear down the camp at Uwharrie either, I don't think anyone will bother it.
Neil, The spot were looking at I believe is a few miles south east of the outpost of road 597 I believe it is. I'll have to jump on google and see what it shows and get you better directions.
Negative. We did not break down the command center nor any tents when we headed out. I really dont see that as being a problem in the forests. Maybe at a shoddy campground somewhere but in the national forests where most people carry a sidearm, I think its ok. :)
Cool, thanks for the info guys. I suppose that would be quite the hassle breaking it down everyday. On a side note, I should have my concealed weapons permit by then! I dropped off the application March 16th. Wake County has been really quick the last few months from what I've heard.
Sal, I'll check my work schedule. If you did go, what time would it be?
I can't go until the 30th. My anniversary is this weekend kid B-day party next weekend oh well. So I will be planning on going the 30th should be a Saturday. I like to get there in the morning maybe have breakfast at the outpost some where between 0800 and 0900. On the up side hopefully it's enough notice for you to get the day off.
Sal, I can definitely do the 30th. URE is only an hour drive for me, I say we could meet at the outpost around 8:00 for breakfast, then begin our scouting.
Happy Anniversary Sal ! I have my 20th coming up in july, woo hoo!
